Iraq, with historical backgrounds has been one of the oldest centers of Asian civilization and is regarded by many Muslims as one of the most important countries in the cultivation of clerics and Shi’ites. Due to the significance of the West region and its long-standing neighbors, Iran and Iraq has been exposed to the plot of adversaries. The great role of the Shi’a and the MARJA (Imitation authorities) in organizing popular movements against the colonialists has led to the formation of a wave of cults and extremist schools among religious scholars, in order to neutralize the awareness of the leaders of Shi’ism.

This cult were fueled by malice of Islam.

“Sheikh Ahmad Ehsaee” and his followers in Iraq, with heresy, made the ground for the foundation of Baiyat in Iran. Later, in the unsuccessful assassination of Nasir al-Din Shah, Hussein Ali Noori was arrested as one of the agents, but after four months he was relieved by Russia’s assistance and went to Iraq, part of the Ottoman Empire.

Hussein Ali Nouri and his followers in Karbala committed sever killings, consequently, were exiled by Ottoman regime. Noori, claimed the beginning of the Baha’i Faith for the first time in the garden of “Najib Pasha” (garden of Ridvwan Baha’i), locating outside Baghdad. Therefore, Iraq is geographically the birthplace of Baha’ism.

Baha’i activities in Iraq were suspended by the Ba’ath Party for Several years, but Baha’i performances and positions indicate the devotion of the group to the enemies of Islam, even in the invasion of Saddam, the Baha’is in Iran, had various destructive moves.

Baha’is after the arrival of the United States With the arrival of Americans in Iraq, the Baha’is sought to show a character of peacefulness, although there were reports of killing of Muslims in Iraq by the Baha’is.(1) However, intellectual and cultural vacuum created a suitable atmosphere for anti-religious and Western currents. For the moral-intellectual deviation of the Iraqi people, it was a prelude to the intellectual occupation and the suppression of cultural values in that society.

By 20th century, the British invaders and later the Americans, tried to inject the principles of government into Iraqi culture. One year after entering of the United States, Baha’is set up a national assembly and four local assemblies in Iraq.

They acted in three general categories:

1.   Introduction and consolidation of Baha’ism as religion.

2.   Procurement of places and lands.

3.   Carrying out activities to fulfill the objectives of the Baha’i Five-Year Plan.

Here is a part of the report on the Baha’i proceedings regarding the first two cases:

·        Meeting with Iraqi political leaders to influence the constitution in favor of Baha’is.

·        Meeting with the President.

·        Pay a million dinars to the prime minister’s office to get the permission of appointment with him.

·        Contact some of the important parliament members.

·        Buying several homes for the development of the Baha’i Faith.

·        Buying places in Iraq and Kurdistan.

Baha’ism does not condemn anything to its organizational goals. It chooses its lawyers from among Muslims who want their hearts to Baha’ism, and contrary to their claims they cooperate with parties, lobby and …

Note the Baha’is actions on the third part: Baha’i cooperation with NGOs and local groups intensified in Iraq. By promoting its thoughts on educational institutions and “social discourses, Baha’is are trying to promote and eliminate harassment, as a result of which social security of the Iraqi people is at high risk.

After the departure of US forces, beside emphasizing private organizations, the role of the media became more prominent. Reports of Baha’i activities. He is the editor and main member of the board of directors (Masarat Institute) A nonprofit organization focusing on the issue of minorities in Iraq.

Massarat members, at a meeting with the parliament, were involved in regulating the laws in favor of Baha’ism, by meeting religious figures, they called for indignation and optimism toward Baha’ism.

On October 2012 In unorganized Kurdish climate in Iraq, videos from the Baha’is in Sulaimaniyeh were sent to the media. There is no doubt that that Israel had particular interest in Iraq’s independence and referendum. Certainly, the existence of a state in the sensitive West Asia region that recognizes Israel is welcomed by the Zionist regime and Baha’ism. In the Kurdish elections, the Israel flag arose along the flag of Kurdistan, the infiltration of the provisions of the constitution of Iraq leads to antagonistic and dangerous approaches. Besides, the political-administrative problems of Iraq are causing the debilitation of educational programs and as a result, the overthrow of such currents as Baha’is in the Iraqi intellectual arena. Therefore, with vigilance, it should not be allowed that the vacuum of thought and problems becomes a platform for the establishment of Baha’ism.
