Below I present passages from a letter, which by its diction and turns of phrase was clearly written by Douglas Martin, with my comments in bold. The House of Justice farms out particular tasks to specific members, giving them that "portfolio." Since 1995 the "portfolio" for "dealing with the Western intellectuals" has been among the responsibilities of Mr. Martin, who has an MA in history from some small place in Canada and wrote a refutation of Miller, though he is not really an academic. I had earlier avoided posting the entire text because I wished, in accordance with the duties laid upon academics when dealing with living persons, to avoid doing anything to harm the recipient.
