Raoufi expressed: In 1375 S.H., when I was 25, I decided to turn against Baha’ism along with my husband after studying Ayatollah Motahhari’s works and the former Baha’i ones.
She continued: After turning to Islam, I was emotionally boycotted by the organization. It means that our families were told not to have any social intercourse with us even not to answer our hellos! Of course, we were aware of such behaviors because we had seen and heard such behaviors before.
The former Baha’i expressed: it was a really hard work. I was deprived of visiting my parents for 15 years. They didn’t let me to see my parents. I visited my parents in our neighbor’s house. I continued this method for several years. Eventually, the organization found out our relationship and cut it.
She said: My brothers and sisters haven’t come to my house for 20 years. I go to their house to see my parents. Their behaviors have been changed; but they haven’t come to my house for 20 years.
Pointing out Baha’ism claim for the freedom of thought in Baha’ism, Raoufi said: Some former Baha’is haven’t seen their offspring for years. They have suffered from many difficulties. The freedom of thought is just a slogan in Baha’ism. We were lying when we were proselytizing. There were many contradictions in the 12 principles.
Pointing out the claim for the equality between men and women, she continued: Baha’ism is speaking about the equality between men and women, but they consider difference between a rural woman and an urban one.
She stated: Woman is a means in Baha’is. They are misused to attract the youth and men. In Baha’ism, woman is a worthless tissue paper and it is a distressing fact.
At the end of the interview, Raoufi expressed: Everything happens in the Baha’i family must be informed to the organization and in general every happening in our community and country must be reported to Israel and this is spying. The Baha’is are spying for Israel although they themselves don’t accept this reality.
