Breaking traditions  by Bab and Baha

     Bahaismiran:

One of the characteristics of all divine proof and prophets is speaking with the language of the tribe in which he has sent on a mission because the Almighty God considers speaking with the language of the tribe as one of the characteristics of the divine prophets:

" وَ مَا اَرْسَلْنا مِنْ رَسُولٍ الّا بِلسان قَومِهِ" (ابراهیم/4)

 

And we never sent a messenger save with the language of his folk.

     For instance, the Excellency Moses (P.H.) who had been sent among Israel tribe was speaking Hebrew language. The holy prophet (P.H.) had been sent among Arab people was speaking Arabic although he possessed a worldwide religion.[1]

     The reason of the issue is quite clear since the closest people to a prophet are from his city and tribe and the most important way to convey a concept is via writing. Consequently, in order for a prophet or a divine proof to be able speak with the people of his city by correct and logical concepts it is necessary to know the language of the city.

     However, although Ali Muhammad Shirazi (Bab) and Hussein Ali Baha (Bahaullah) lived among Persian speakers; but they have presented their writings quite in Arabic language. Although Ali Muhammad Shirazi had lived in Karbala just for 6 months and didn’t know Arabic language well, he started compiling books in Arabic language. According to linguists and grammar scientists, his books were full of structural errors and incorrect words. Confessing his inability bin Arabic language[2], Bahaullah wrote most of his works in Arabic language.

     In addition to his weakness in Arabic literature he used the same Persian or English word whenever he didn’t know its equivalent.

     Thus, the important note is that there is a contradiction. How is it possible that Ali Muhammad Shirazi (Bab) and Hussein Ali Baha who claimed for prophethood were Persian but their holy books had written in Arabic language.
