     Bahaismiran:

The Excellency Abbas Effendi (Abdul Baha) called people to be unwilling with power in an advice on the occasion of electing the leader of society. However, the question is that: Did these leaders act their beliefs?

Investigating the Excellency Abdul Baha’s leadership during history, it is concluded that it has been a contradiction,

The second leader of Baha’is, the Excellency Abbas Effendi states the characteristics of electing the leader of the community: “A person who is applied for being the chairman mustn’t insist to be the one. As a matter of fact, he mustn’t seek for fame. However, he must say he weren’t merited to be the chairman and couldn’t tolerate the burden of this responsibility. Such people are merited to be the chairman because the chairman must be charitable not be selfish because public’s benefits is the aim. If the personal benefits is aimed, it will harm the humane world.” [Badayeul Athar, Vol. 1, p. 309]

Nevertheless, as if the criterion of electing the leader by the Baha’i leader is contradictory because he fend his brother (Muhammad Ali) and insulted him when he realized that his brother planned for him. [Refer to Makatib, Vol. 1, PP, 442-443]
