It is interesting to be noted that Ali Muhammad Bab himself says about his educating periods of time in the book Arabic Bayan:

"یا محمد معلمی فلا تضربنی قبل ان یقضی علی خمس سنه... و اذا اردت ضربا فلا تتجاوز عن الخمس و لا تضرب علی اللهم الا و ان تحل بینهما شرا فان ادیت تحرم علیک زوجک تسعه عشر یوما"

“O’ Muhammad, my teacher, don’t hit me before I pass your school for 5 years and don’t hit more than five strikes if you wanted to hit me. Don’t hit on my flesh otherwise you put a cloth between flesh and the hitting instrument. If you don’t listen to me, you wife will be illegitimate for you 19 days.”

Sheik Abed was one of the students of Sheik Ahmad Ehsaee and Seyyed Kazem Rashti (Sheikism heads) as Mazandarani has mentioned it in the book Asrarul Athar, letter A.

Consequently, the proselytizing for Ali Muhammad Bab to be illitrate is quite false.
