Aziz Khan executed some of the heads of Babism such as Qorratul Ein and Seyyed Hussein Yazdi (the famous writer of Bab). He killed Qorratul Ein by his direct order to his slave. His slaved was mentioned by the name of bloodthirsty black in the Baha’i sources.
In “Waraqa Tablet”, Bahaullah calls him angrily as “disgraced and obscure-minded” man. Additionally, when Naseruddin Shah was assassinated by the Babis, Aziz was one of the high-ranking authorities who had been assigned the responsibility of pursuing Babis and discovering their assassination band.
He gave a list of some of them to the king to be arrested and sentenced. After discovering the assassination band, Seyyed Hussein Yazdi (Bab’s writer) was punished by him and his military co-workers.
Aziz Khan the commander-in-chief was appointed as the ruler of Azerbaijan after Bab’s murder. During his government, Tabriz scholars complained and asked him to destroy Bab’s execution place where the Babis visited there as pilgrimage.
The commander-in-chief didn’t destroy the place due to financial harms; but he ordered a wall to be built in front the chamber where Bab was executed
