Less cases can be seen during history that the real followers of a creed turned against their creed and repented when they were encountering dangers, tortures and imprisoning and the like.

However, Ali Muhammad Shirazi entitled Bab [the gate] was one of the claimants of prophethood and being imam of the time. He repented after being given the bastinado for 18 times. He has written in his letter of repentance: “… a person who considers me as the gate for Imam of the Time (peace be upon him); I swear by God, he/she will be in deviation and fire.” These statements have been mentioned in the Baha’i sources and references like Kashful Qita written by Abul Fadhl Mazandarani. However, the interesting point is that Ali Muhammad Shirazi is the one who is considered by the forerunner of Hussein Ali Nouri (Baha) and his creed. Ali Muhammad Shirazi is the one whom the Baha’is have founded their creed on his creed and considered themselves as his followers and called him “the Excellency Bab”, “Noqteh Oula” and the Blessed figure”.

He has written in one of his writing that “Fie, Fie! On Muslims and the faithful who are waiting for Imam of the Time; but they imprison him in the mountain (That is Chehriq prison in Makou) by their own hands.

The following commandments are stated by this Imam of the Time and prophet:

“Don’t ride on cows and don’t let them carry something.” “Don’t drink donkey milk.” “Don’t his the egg over something when it isn’t boiled for it will be decayed.” “If a powerful man is found, he must destroy Kaaba in Mecca.” “It is necessary for all scientific books to be burnt and reciting the heavenly books prior the emergence of Bab is illegitimate!!!
