The Excellency Bahaullah misused the distressed situations of Babis in Iraq and carelessness of the Ottoman government with the domestic issues of Babis.

The consequence of this mischief was escaping important Babis from Baqdad and creating extreme fear conditions among them and the massacre of the opponents. Ezzieh Khanom called a group headed by Bahaullah and massacred the Babis of Baqdad as “bloodthirsty torturers” and said:

“The first class companions decided to go to Karbala and Najaf for the fear of the bloodthirsty torturers. Seyyed Ismaeel Isfahani was beheaded and Hajj Mirza Ahmad Kashi’s belly was torn up. They killed Abul Qasem Kashi and throw him in Tigris. They killed Seyyed Ahmad, Mirza Reza Khalouee and Seyyed Muhammad…”
