Bahai Special Edition

Section One : The First Utterance

In each period of time , the emergence of sects is a consequence of special conditions ; however , political reasons have been effective in appearing of these sects more than other conditions by presence of Colonialism in contemporary period of Iran . So , coteries such as secert associations , masonery coteries , and the sects like Bahari are apparent samples which were born and raised by direct interference of the Colonialism .

What was the purpose of this action ? The main purposes of the Colonialism in forming these groups were as follows : penetrating into the bases of power through the dependent elit , tradition erasing , conventionalizing of social and cultural pertinences and connections , foiling the elements and agents of persistence against alien culture , creating new definition of religiousness and maintenance of reling , succession for religious foundations ant etc .

Eventually , economic and cultural dominance of Iran , were of main purposes of the Colonialism in forming these group . In late 100 years , some failed .

Although the emergence of these events were happened in Qajar dynasty and were simultanously taken place by approaching the waves of western civilization to Iran , their progress and infiltration were formed in Pahlavi dynasty . If a dynasty called Pahlavi didn’t emerge in Iran – as it clears dramatically for those who study – and if these hubs didn’t grow in this government and didn’t become strong , the names of these sects and coteries wouldn’t last and wouldn’t need to be mentioned in history . But their ascending development in the above mentioned dynasty also narrates the success of the influence of hegemonics in the then government and relates the effect of these groups on the society ranks , too – from the muslimsmurduring to confrontations to which some parts of contemporary history have been assigned . Thus , paying attention to a sect such as Baha’ism is investigating a current which was imposed to Iran that studying about it fits the history capacity .

The scope of extensive activies of Bahai’s continued to 1357 . After the victory of Islamic Revolution the vast expander , which was expanded for this sect by Pahlavi regime was taken off . American government – in its purpose to oppose the Islamic Republic Of Iran – benefited this currnt as a political means abundantly .However , the attention of this quarterly to Baha’ism is from the position of historical currents not as a passed issue .

The other reason is that in the last decades a source that introduces and studies this sect as Bahai sources according to the main resouces hasn’t been available and there wasn’t a package to classify and present these awareness . Yet , the special edition which you study has been successful to investigate some of the aspects of the issue and it has some shortcomings . Thus , in near future \" the historical studies quarterly\" is going to assign another issue of its proclamation to this matter according to interests of researchers and those who are enthusiastic about the contemporary history of Iran . Therefore , the researchers and connoisseurs can send their new findings for editorial board of this quarterly .
