Interview with Seyyed Saeed Zahed Zahedani, PhD
Dr. Seyyed Saeed Zahed Zahedani was interviews on the Bahaists activities in Iran. Excerpts of the interview is as follows:
Defeat in the wars between Iran and Russia had disappointed the people of the existing powers, so expectation for the appearance of Hazrat Mahdi (the twelfth Imam of Prophet Mohammad‘s Household) as their savoir reached its peak in Iran. In such circumstances certain groups could deceive naïve individuals. The hands of the Russian embassy followed by those of British embassy were clearly evident in this ploy. A pile of historical documents and papers concerning the direct and indirect support of the above countries for the sects such as Babism and Bahaism proves the role of the hegemonic foreigners in “planting†or at least “harvesting the fruit†of these sects. Indeed the cultural to plan their conspiracies. This ideology left the Shiite school by touching the concept of Nayeb (representative) of Imam Mahdi and eventually separated from Islam by formulating principles and sub-principles of a new religion. If we look at the issue from the point of view of political sociology, the process of confronting the political authority of the Shiite religion, which dominated the society as the ruling authority of the nation as the time of Ghajarid rule in Iran, can be seen clearly.
