Báb’s Birth
Â
`Ali Muhammad Shirázi known as Báb was born at the first day of Moharram, 1235 H.Q (Oct 20th, 1819) in Shiraz. His mother was named Fatemeh Beygom and his father was named Mirza Muhammad Reza Bazzaz. `Ali Muhammad lost his father in his childhood, so his uncle became his guardian.
According to some Bábi and Bahá’i documents he has the rank of Qa’im (the person who rises as the savior). For instance in the book of Tablets, Pg. 17:
« اÙنَّه٠هÙÙˆÙŽ القائم٠الّذي يَنتَظÙرون يوَمه٠مَن ÙÙŠ مَلَكوت٠السَّموات٠وَ الاَرض . . . »
Indeed he (Mirzá `Ali Muhammad) is The Qa’im that the people of the heavens and  earth are awaiting his rise.
Because of that Imam Mahdi is the promised one from Islam then we must look into Islam’s text. Some of the signs that have been said about Imam Mahdi are that he had a hidden birth and according to some Hadiths and Allame Majlesi from Behar al Anvar, the  name of the promised one is as same as Prophet Muhammad’s name.
