Baha’is And Racism

Dr. Mohammed Alam Qurayshi

The Baha’is incessantly scream their guts out from top of their LSAs and NSAs that all men are of one family.
Bahá’u’lláh has proclaimed that the ‘Unity of the World of Mankind’ as one of the most important Baha’i tenet. In short, the Babis say: All peoples and nations are of one family, the children of one father, and should be to one another as brothers and sisters. Bahá’u’lláh said that we should love even our enemies and be to them as friends.

While this does sound appealing, especially to those factions of the society who have always been looked down upon and have had their rights usurped by the richer and stronger sections of the social order, the fact is that the Baha’is themselves don’t subscribe to this principle and their books are littered with views contrary to what they proclaim.

Here are a few damning examples that need to be told:

We find in vol. 3, page 48 of the book Khatabat (published in Tehran) Abdu’l-Baha saying:

“The [black Africans] are cows that God has created with human faces.”

Furthermore he says, “The inhabitants of a land like Africa are all like wild savages and land-dwelling animals that lack common-sense and knowledge and are all wild. There is not a single wise and civilized person among them,” (Abdu’l-Baha, Makatib (Egypt), vol. 1, pp. 331)

“The wild tribes have no superiority over animals. For example what is the difference between African blacks and American blacks? The [black Africans] are cows that God has created with human faces. The [black Americans] are civilized, intelligent, and have culture . . .” (Abdu’l-Baha, Khatabat (Tehran), vol. 3, p. 48.)

If the above derogatory remarks for our African brothers aren’t enough, Abd al-Hamid Ishraq Khawari in his famous book Ma’idiy-i asimani writes that those who don’t adhere to the Baha’i faith should be burned alive.

“Anyone who has a garden will not allow the dry trees to remain in the garden and will definitely cut them and throw them in fire, for dry wood is only worthy of fire. Thus, O inhabitants of my orchard, protect yourselves from the wicked poisonous breath and void breeze which is socializing with the polytheists (deniers of Baha’ism) and the unaware (ghafil),” (`Abd a l-Hamid Ishraq Khawari, Ma’idiy-i asimani, vol. 8, p. 39.)

All these facts found in Baha’i source books unmask the real and true evil nature of the faith. It should be an eye opener for those who are inclined to embrace the false propaganda of the Baha’is.
