Habib Sabet known as Pasal was one of Baha’i Jewish people of Hamadan city. After the establishment of the trustee company during Reza Khan’s period of time he became a person in charge of the company later on and became one of trustees of the Iranian Baha’i community. Meir Ezri the ambassador of the occupying regime in Iran says about Sabet Pasal:
“Although Asadullah Alam the then prime minister of Iran ordered to stop proselytizing for Baha’ism after the extensive protest by the faithful people and the scholars, Baha’is held their coteries secretly and attracted people to Baha’ism by donating the poor, During the last decades, they could attract most of the Jewish families of Hamadan and Kashan to their faith. One of the Jewish people who got rich and famous by tendency towards Baha’ism was Sabet Pasal from Hamadan city. He was just a driver during the World War I. he could become one of wealthy people of Iran in a short period of time.
Fazlullah Mohatadi Sobhi –the writer of the tablets of Abbas Effendi writes in his diary:
“Most of Hamadani people are Baha’i Jews. According to me, they had become Baha’is not to be Jewish. They wanted to remove the name of Jewish away from their names. I know such Jewish people in Tehran but not in Hamadan …â€
Habib Sabet was the exclusive representative of Volkswagon car – the bestseller of that time. He was the representative of hundreds of cosmetic companies. The offices of these companies were located at Taleqani Street next to Hazirtul Qods (Baha’i temple). In order to prevent building mosque around there, he bought all the lands around Hazirtul Qods in Somayyeh, Nejatullahi and Taleqani streets. He had employed several elites regarding economy and banking. During the late 1330, he establish the company of car tire â€Generalâ€. He possessed nearly 500 trucks. Earlier 1340, he decided to expand the company with the company “Rubber Tire) – whose shares belonged to Iranian Jewish people lived in America. He established the companies “General tire and Rubberiran nearby Tehran city. He received six hundred million Tumans as a loan from industry and mine
