Bahaismiran: 20th of Day is the martyrdom anniversary of one of the dear offspring of the Iranian land. He was just wise person and a brave politician who was really honest and trustful. He was a prudent minister who did some measures to improve Iran during 3 years that other couldn’t do the same during 30 years. A man who didn’t without against the strangers even a step; while colonel Shale, the British minister –who was Amir the great’s enemy- said: “He wants nothing but the prosperity of his hometown.”

Mirza Taqi Khan Farahani known as “Amir the great” and “the great chancellor” was born at Hazzaveh village around Farahan city in Arak. Amir the great advanced soon and became chancellor. After Mohammad Shah’s death, provided some money to bring the crown prince to Tehran to be the king. King Naseruddin appointed him as his chancellor, then. Next, he got married with Naseruddin’s sister “Ezzatuddoleh”.

At the beginning of Amir the great’s chancellorship, Iran was really chaotic; but he could improve the choetic situation of Iran prudently. However, the corrupt courtiers made the king be suspicious with him with the help of “Mahd Olya”, king Naserruddin’s mother and the British Colonial country. King Naserruddin discharged him and appointed Mirza Aqa Khan Nouri as the chancellor. From that time on, Amir the great was in charge of governing Kashan. At last, they forced the king to issue the murder verdict of Amir the great. They killed him on Day 20th, 1230 according to solar calendar by cutting his hand and foot vessels in Fin bath of Kashan. His murderer was Hajj Ali Khan Maraqehhee. He lived for 46 years. His dead body was sent to Karbala by his wife’s attempts and buried there.
