A glance at the Baha’is cooperation with (the political and economic) organization related with Russia in Iran

Bahaismiran:

There are numerous cases of cooperation between Baha’is with the political and economic institutes related to the Russia in Iran which have been mentioned below:

Aziz Allah Khan Varqa, one of the Baha’i dignitaries in Tehran city, was one of members of Russian bank in Tehran city. It is written that: “When Allah Khan started working in the bank, Agroubeh, the authorized chairman of the bank trusted and respected him very much and he was the only arbitrators between the dignitaries and the most influential people in the country and the bank. He had provided a house and furniture in the best part of the city having carriage and beautiful houses. Riding on his carriage, being followed by the powerful gurd, he was wearing special cloth for bank and administering bank affairs.” Valiullah Khan Varqa, Mirza Azizullah Khan’s brother was one of the embassy’s employees for a while. Then he became the first secretary of the Ottoman embassy.[1]

It is interesting to be said that the Baha’is exploit their relationships with their friends and relations who were in touch with the Russian organization in Iran in order to confront the Iranian government to get rid of the pressures imposed by the government and people. Pay attention to the following example: According to “Masabiul Hedayat” [the light of Direction], one of the Baha’is resources, when Varqa (one of the Baha’i heads_ and Mirza Hussein Zanjani (Muhammad’s son died 1302 in Eshq Abad) captured by Alaudduleh the then rule in Zanjan, he made the ruler be frightened by the consequence of the measure due to the relationship between Mirza Hussein and his groom with the Russian embassy. The mentioned above resource writes: “Allaudduleh said to Varqa: I will kill Hussein tomorrow and send you to Tehran with your son. The Excellency Varqa had secretly said Mirza Hussein had come here from Eshq Abad with the consul and king Naseruddin’s order and his groom is the Russia’s translator[2]; Varqa is apparently the same Mirza Ali Muhammad Varqa, the famous Baha’I proselytizer who entered Zanjan city in 1312 A.H. Allauddin arrested and made him debate with Sheikh Ebrahum Zanjani in governor’s court in the presence of a lot os particians of the city. Zanjani condomned him debating. Then he wrote a book called “Ershadul Iman” criticizing Babism and Baha’ism cults[3]. The successful debate between Sheikh Ebrahim and Varqa caused the Shiekh to be endangered by the Baha’ism center which had issued an order for him to be assassinated.[4]

According to one of the contemporary writers[5]:

“During Qajar dynasty, we find the European embassies of Iran supporting Babis and Baha’is obviously and openly. For instance, Shiekh Ali Akbar Qouchani, a famous Baha’is, was in touch with the Europeans. So, he was imprisoned by Mirza Abdul Vahhab Khan Asefudduleh, Khorasan’s ruler. When he was in prison, he wrote a letter for Kasten, the chairman of customs of Khorasan city: “Because the countrymen are disturbing me and enraging my family and relatives I beg you as an impartial person who is serving the Iranian government to prevent these measures legally and search why Shojaudduleh has put my people under pressure. If there is nothing in the country but chaos, I will ask one of European countries to give us refuge.[6]
