Divorce in Baha\'ism
Bahaismiran:
One of the surprising commandments in the Baha\'is faith is divorce.
The principle of equality between men and women\'s rights is one of stressed one in Baha\'ism. This commandment is exerted concerning divorce. Shoqi Effendi states: \"If the couple are reluctant to each other, they will possess the equal rights.[1]\" The second commandment is that the couple must wait for a year because of their separation. Hussein Ali Baha writes: \"If a miff is caused between couple, man can\'t divorce his wife and should wait for a year. During this period of time, they may love to live with each other, otherwise, they can separate. Surely, he will is wise[2].\"
Regarding the above-mentioned features stated by the Baha\'i heads, there are several points:
1) According to the scientific researches and Islamic traditions, men and women differ physically and mentally.[3]\" it is proven that women\'s emotions govern their behaviors. Based on the individualistic differences and features, performing the commandment issued by Shoqi Effendi makes the family base unstable and increases divorce rate in the society. Contrary to Shoqi Effendi\'s viewpoint, Hussein Ali Baha\'s orders reveals that men can divorce; but Shoqi Effendi has issued a commandment which is country to Hussein Ali Baha\'s one. Anyway, Baha\'ism isn’t divine because its commandments have changed.
2) Hussein Ali Baha considers one-year patience for divorce; but he hasn’t stated that what is the relationship between patience, divorce and quarrel. Of course it is natural in the deviant cult of Baha\'ism since a marriage which is bonded with nonsense sentences[4], will be broken without contract.
