Independent Investigation of Truth in the Baha’is belief

Bahaismiran:

Abdul Baha tells about his father’s teachings: “… Bahaullah’s teachings are unique. Bahaullah’s teaching are the spirit of this era the light of this century.”[1]

He has also introduced the independent investigation of truth as the first finding of his father and invited everybody to take hold of it: “The first teaching of the Excellency Bahaullah is the independent investigation of truth. Human beings must investigate the truth independently and not imitate.”[2]

These sentences claim that Bahaullah’s teachings are really             and nobody knew them before and Bahaullah has conveyed them to the world people.

While, Bahaullah himself claims that his father’s teachings aren’t new, too. Stating that all the divine prophets have invited people to investigate the truth independently, Abdul Baha says: “The Excellency Moses preached the truth and also the Excellencies Jesus, Abraham, Muhammad, Bab and Bahaullah established and preached the truth, too.”[3]

Also, he considers the bases of the all divine religions as the same and introduces the independent investigation of truth as of the bases of the divine religion: “The bases of the divine religion are the same. The bases of the divine religions are the same. The independent investigation of truth is of the bases of the divine religion in order for all human beings to investigate the truth independently.”[4]

It is surprising that the successor of Bahaullah has investigated truth independently and confessed his father’s teachings aren’t new; but his followers have yet before that these teachi9ngs didn’t exist before Bahaullah and he has saved humanity by these teachings.
