Baha’ism: The holy Quran has rejected the reason for miracle

Bahaismiran:

A person who claims for prophethood must pose a reason as miracle in order for people to be surrender for his invitation. This issue has been correct about the divine prophets. However, because Hussein Ali Nouri hasn’t posed any miracle, the Baha’is consider the miracle as invalid and even against rationality in order to remove the challenge.[1]

Of course, the unacceptable justifications posed by the cult claimants against the miracles are as follows: The miracle isn’t a reason for the prophets to be right[2] or the miracle is a reason and proof for the present[3] and they also say: the holy prophet Muhammad (P.H.) hasn’t used the miracle to prove his prophethood.[4] Another justification stated by Abulfazl Golapaygani citing several verses of the holy Quran[5]: the reason for miracle has been rejected in the holy Quran.

“In numerous places, the reason for miracle has been rejected and in each place the holy prophet was asked to do a miracle…[6].”

He has cited the following verse to prove his statement:

“Naught hindereth us from sending portents save that the folk old denied them. And we gave Thamud the she camel a clear portent but they did wrong in respect of her. We send not portents save to warn.”

He concludes that according to this verse the miracle hasn’t any proof because it has been denied.

The answer: In this verse, the captious people’s plea has been rejected. Those who don’t believe in God. However, they ask for miracle to harass the holy prophet (P.H.) and to confute God. So, to answer them, God states:

“Naught hindereth us from sending protents save that the folk of old denied them.”

In fact, this verse states that enough miracles have been sent; but your proposed ones are being rejected and disagreed.

Then, the holy Quran mentions the story of she camel of Thamud in which people didn’t believe and killed it while they had asked for the miracle.[7]

“And we gave Thamud the she camel a clear portent”

At the end of the verse, God has stated the purpose of the miracle:

“And we send not portents save to warn”

That is, the purpose of miracle is to present the atheists with ultimatum not being surrendered against their seeking excuses.
