In one of the proselytizing networks of the Baha’ism organization, benevolence and avoiding secularism have been considered as the most important features of the society leaders. Adducing Abdul Baha’s advice, the Baha’i proselytizer claimed: “The person who doesn’t insist on chairmanship must be the head. As matter of fact, he mustn’t think of fame and superiority… Such people are merited to be the one. Because the head must be benevolent not to be selfish in order to be beneficial for the public; otherwise, it harms the humane world.” [Badaeyul Athar, Vol.1, p. 309]
Nevertheless, one of the close relatives of Hussein Ali Nouri called Ezziyeh Khanom (Nouri) writes:
“When he came back Badasht and finished fighting in Sheikh Tabarsi fort, he spent time having social intercourses with the religion dignitaries and he was always thinking of being the chairman and the king. From that time on, he was thinking of kingdom; so he planned to assassinate Naseruddin Shah. He though he would be the king if he harmed Naseruddin Shah. “[Tanbihunnaemin, part 2, p. 6]
