It is said in the book Mofazat” by the Excellency Abdul Baha after promising the Baha’i leader kingdom and the expansion of the universal justice:
“In each period (era) there were 12 Imams (the prophet’s successors) and the elected. In the Excellency Jacob, there were 12 sons and in the Excellency Moses’ era, there were 12 guardian (offspring). In the Excellency Jesus, there were 12 disciples and in the holy prophet Muhammad’s (P.H.) period of time, there were twelve Imams. However, in this greatest emergence, there are 24 people. Because this emergence is great. These holy people possess the eternal kingdom…[1]”
Due to the Excellency Abdul Baha’s prediction, Baha’is must wait for 24 heavenly leaders to rule immortally. Now, suppose that Abdul Baha and Shoqi effendi are two of them; so Baha’is must wait for 242 guardian after Shoqi Effendi consequently, Abdul Baha confirmed and emphasized Shoqi Effendi in his will tablets: “O’ the divine disciples! The guardian of the faith must appoint his successor after him in order for differences not to be arisen after his departure.[2]”
However, Shoqi Effendi was abortive and the predictions turned false.
