In his will Abdul Baha orders his followers to obey Shoqi because he is the excellent branch… . there are two notes here: 1) Shoqi Effendi is Abdul Baha’s successor; while according to Hussein Ali Nouri’s book and will, Baha’s first successor is Abdul Baha and the second one is his brother Muhammad Ali, 2) Among Baha’is, Shoqi hasn’t been popular because according to Shoqi’s friends and relatives, he hasn’t been approved morally and Abdul Baha was also aware of the issue. Shoqi’s induction made several Baha’i proselytizers to be separated from the cult; such as Mirza Ahamd Sohrab, Abdul HousseTafti Awareh (Ayati), Fadhlullah Mohtadi Sobhi, Mirza Hasan Nikou and Mirza Saleh Eqtesad Maraqehee.

     The most important note in the Baha’is post is that according to Abdul Baha, Shoqi must introduce his successor when he was alive. He didn’t have any offspring and was abortive to be his successor. This was one of dozens of false predictions of the Excellency Abdul Baha.
