The Baha’ism leadership foundation called the Universal House of Justice has announced Baha’is about the activity frameworks of the cult in the cyberspace. Stating the unique position of internet, it investigates the opportunities for proselytizing Baha’ism easily and has encouraged the Baha’i proselytizers to exploit the cyberspace extensively. So, we will investigate the opportunities and challenges announced by the Universal House of Justice for Baha’is to use the cyberspace.

     It is worthy to be mentioned that internet has provided an extensive space to offer thoughts and beliefs from the earlier time of its emergence. This space has been exposed to each kind of deviations. Not only it has had positive effects in creating connection between thought and apprehensiveness, but also it has expanded deep deviations in the society. The destructive effects of these influences can’t be rejected. Across the world where human beings are existing, humans use various percentages of the space. As Baha’ism considers this space as a suitable one for proselytizing, the opponents of Baha’ism are criticizing this belief using this space.

     Nevertheless, there are several challenges paid attention by the Baha’i leaders. The Universal House of Justice foundation is ironically ordering Baha’is not to refer to non-Baha’i pages which explain the Baha’ism facts: “Dear divine companions, each internet site which contains the information and news about the Baha’i faith must be closely investigated. The content, tone and questions must be investigated in case of validity. You must consult the valid and experienced people or the national spiritual assemblies in the country concerning the validity of the special medium.[1]”

     However, the question is that: why will Baha’ism prevent Baha’is to refer to non-Baha’i sites which are pragmatically investigating Baha’ism beliefs if the first and most important teachings of Baha’ism is the independent investigation of truth?![2]

     The opportunities of the means: Using the cyberspace has provided an opportunity for the Baha’ism organization to create so-called independent networks in order to pursue its anti-revolutionary, proselytizing and political activities in Iran[3]!

     However, the Baha’i leaders haven’t been aware of their followers’ tendencies and curious minds. The internet world provides a mass of data for its users. The Baha’i leaders must know that as the cyberspace is an opportunities to proselytize, it also provides opportunities for the opponents to criticize Baha’ism.
