Iran is one of the limited countries among Asian and African ones that hasn’t been directly dominated by the Colonial countries; but their influence on Iran has been determining during long years.
Before investigating the role of foreign countries in growth and development of Baha’ism in Iran, it should be reminded that the emergence of capitalism in the west caused the model of increasing wealth with each possible method. It caused for the industrial countries in various parts of the world to gain a footing to stabilize their positions and gain consumption market. The Colonial contracts were imposed on Iran at that time and many privileges were gained. The government function also indicated that the foreign countries didn’t have any problem with the ruling governments. Their most important problem was the nation headed by clergymen who were standing against the Colonial influence and the government. According to the Colonialists, this dam must be broken by cultism. The most suitable case was the ideology of Baha’ism whose roots were discovered in Sheikism school. They provided the basis of religious disunion by raising it through Bab.
Ideology of Baha’ism
The ideology of Baha’ism originated from Sheikism school during several decades of changes. Finally it stabilized in the form of Baha’ism. This ideology created the first deviation in the Shiism religion presenting a special definition about the concept of the deputy of Imam of the time (P.H.). then it kept aloof the Islamic school completely. Sheikism posed the claim for direct relationship with the holy Imam by innovation the forth pillar.
Following Sheikism, Ali Muhammad Shirazi introduced himself as the forth pillar and then Imam of the time (P.H.). Then he claimed divinity.
Totally, the ideology of the cult was separating the Iranian nation from clergymen. Baha’ism has also allowed its follower to get married with close relatives to increase generation.
