The second leader of Baha’ism, Abdul Baha has announced: “You must be kind and affectionate even with enemies and You must be loyal against disturbance, tyranny. Transact pleasantly at the time of enmity.[1]”
Confronting enemies, he has said: “… If a tyrant oppresses and attacks like a wolf having sharp claws, the divine disciples should be surrendered like sheep. So, they mustn’t resist; but they must counter thorn and sword with nectar and milk. Tolerate injuries and kiss the murderer’s hand and sacrifice in the divine path. Ask God for His forgiveness for the tyrant.[2] ”Abdul Baha has liken the defenders of hometown as fierce dogs.[3]”
However, it is interesting to be noted that Abdul Baha’s Colonial statements as too weak that he himself considers the outcome of such behavior as tyranny against the oppressed: “… Of course, you should be more merciful towards the oppressed because if you have mercy on wolves, you will be cruel with other animals. For instance, if you are kind with a wolf, you will tyrannize a sheep. It can slaughter a herds of sheep. So, being kind with the rapacious animal is tyrannizing the oppressed animals.[4]”
There is a contradiction here. We don’t understand whether to be kind with the rapacious wolves or be unkind with them?!!!
