In the summit, Mrs. Dayyan Alaee, the representative of the Baha’i universal community in the United Nation organization claimed in its speech: “The Baha’i universal community has warned about the systematic and active efforts of the Iranian government for destroying the Baha’i community which is the biggest religious non-Muslim minority. Now, nearly 60 Baha’is have been imprisoned due to their beliefs… Even a Baha’i family hasn’t been safe because of persecution…”
The answer:
First, since the emergence of Babism and Baha’ism, the claim for the biggest religious minority for Baha’ism in Iran is a false one; because it isn’t right for Baha’ism to be called religion. No population census data proves such fanciful claim for the followers of Baha’ism organization. Meanwhile, if we accept the Baha’is census data concerning this issue that there are 300 thousand Baha’is live in Iran, and if we accept the Baha’is claim for being imprisoned because of their beliefs, there should be 300,000 Baha’is in the Iranian prisons not 60 ones!!!
