In one of his divinations about Muhammad Ali Shah Qajar, Abdul Baha called him as the kind and benevolent king whom people don’t value.
In the book “Makatib”, Vol. 3, p. 254, line 7, he writes: “Who is kinder than the king of Iran? Who is more benevolent than him” ask for his tranquility and health. The Iranian people don’t value him and don’t let him to judge fairly.”
The book Makatib, Abdul Baha, Vol. 1, p. 254, line 7
As you know, he was the sixth king of Qajar dynasty. He became the king of Iran on day, 28, 1285 S.H. when he was 34 of age. A year later, he swore by the constitutional government. However, less than two years after coronation, he sent telegraphs to all rulers to reject parliament activity and confirmed: “This parliament is against the constitution and from this time on, it will repress the opponents.” He opposed the constitution sending this telegraph. On Tir, 2, 1287 S.H., on Tuesday, he cannonaded the national council parliament cooperating with the Russian troops and killed the civil and Tangestani movement liberalists. This event was called the minor despotism in the Iranian history. After Tehran conquest by the constitutionalists on Tir, 22, 1288, he sought asylum to the Russian embassy in Zargandeh region. By the internal and external pressures, he was exiled to exited Iran on Shahrivar, 18, 1288. He died on Farvardin, 16, 1304 in saint Remo, Italy when he was 53 due to chronic diabetes disease and kidney disorder.
Contrary to Abdul Baha’s prayer, this cruel king’s kingdom didn’t last so much!
