Bahaismiran:

The Baha’i leaders have introduced the equality between men and women as one of the inventive teachings of their cult. However, it is interesting to be known that contrary to this slogan, men are obliged to pay marriage portion to women! The strangest thing is that they have discriminated between rural and urban husbands. The marriage portion of women who have urban husbands is more than the rural ones!

Considering men and women as equal, the Baha’i leaders have commanded that men and women have equal rights: “One of the teachings of this deviant cult which is considered as one of the twelve principles is the equality of men and women which is considered as two wings of the human world: One wing is man and the other is woman. As long as two wings don’t become equal, the bird can’t fly. If one wing is weak, flying won’t be possible. Gaining virtues and accomplishments won’t be done and prosperity won’t be acquired if the men world and the women one aren’t equal.[1]

Now, answer to this question: Should man pay marriage portion to woman considering such introduction of the equality between men and women[2]?!

Question: Why shouldn’t women pay marriage portion to women?! If the deviant cult of Baha’ism claim so, both men and women should pay marriage portions to become equal.

Consequently, to answer this claim it should be said that the equality is that no one should pay marriage portion; first. Second, contrary to the slogans of Baha’ism, there isn’t pay equality even among the Baha’i women. The marriage portion of women whose husbands are rural is less than the urban ones: “The marriage portion is the man’s validity. If he is from the urban area, he should pay gold and if he is from village, he should pay silver.[3]” third, there is a contradiction: Why does a creed which claims for the equality among people reject the equality between a peasant and a citizen[4]?!
