Although the letter of repentance of Ali Muhammad Shirazi as the leader of Babism cult has been mentioned in the Baha’i books[1]; but the Baha’i proselytizers are constantly going to reject it. Because the condition for their leaders’ repentance is as the falsehood of the basis and rudiment of their creed, indeed. Consequently, they are going to weaken the validity of their leader’s repentance using each vain excuse. They usually pose the weakest documents and reject it by politicization. Nevertheless one of the documents which testifies Ali Muhammad Bab’s repentance is the book Kashful Qita’a written by Abul Fadhl Golpaygani (one of the renowned proselytizers of Baha’ism). To reject the validity of the above-mentioned letter of repentance in this book, the Baha’i proselytizers claim for rejecting Bab’s repentance by Abul Fadhl Golpaygani in this book because this book has been written to reject the book Noqtatul Kaf by Mirza Jani Kashani with introduction written by Edward Brown!
However, what is the reality?!
Referring the page 201 of the book “Kashful Qita’a, we will understand that Abul Fadhl Golpaygani has accepted the correctness of Bab’s repentance letter and he has merely argued with the author of Kashful Qita’a about a person who blamed Ali Muhammad Bab; so, he has been forced to mention the adventure of Bab’s repentance to prove his claim. As we read: “However, Mr. Brown has made a mistake; and because he has been sure about legitimacy of Sheikhul Islam, he has assumed that a person who gave the bastinado has been another illegitimate Seyyed; while the prince’s petition to Muhammad Shah in this regard declares that Sheikul Islam himself was the performer of Bab’s punishment and he didn’t like to be deprived of the reward and now we write the same mentioned petition here.[2]”
He continued and mentioned the explanation of prince’s petition to Muhammad Shah in which Ali Muhammad Bab remained unable to answer the scholars’ questions and then he has repented and left his claims: “when the meeting finished, the Excellency Sheikul Islam was called. He punished the Bab and Bab repented and sealed not to make such mistake, anymore.[3]”
However, it is interesting to be known that this well-known Baha’i author hasn’t had any problem and difficulty in the validity of Bab’s repentance; but he compares the weakness of Ali Muhammad Bab’s resistance with the obstinacy of the claimant of prophet of Baha’ism and confirms Bab’s repentance letter eventually. However, he is ignorant about this fact that he questions Bab and Baha’s creed in essence: “Because Bab’s petition and asking forgiveness and sealing have been mentioned and available it seems suitable to include the Blessed handwriting here for the moral of the story. It is the wise people’s duty to counterpoise that with the tablets sent down for the Blessed Beauty (Hussein Ali Nouri) in the greatest prison.[4]”
Anyway, the Baha’i proselytizers are going to reject their leader’s repentance and to hide this historical reality using vain excuses!!!
