This issue confirms that the Israeli support is various; such as: The Israeli media are praising Baha’ism and cover the related news which are as follows:
1) In the faith news magazine, it is reported narrated by the spiritual assembly of the American Baha’is concerning this issue that the English department of Radio Israel casted a program about Baha’ism on December, 29, 1952 in which the history of Bab and Baha and the burial of their dead bodies in the occupied Palestine have explained by Rouhieh Maxwell (Shoqi’s wife) twice. Then it conversed with Lorry Aiwas one of the Baha’ism heads concerning the Baha’i places in Israel. At first, the announcer defended Israel and said: “Now, the country of Israel is not only the mere center for the Christian and Jewish religions; it is but also the center for the forth religion called the Baha’i one.[1]”
2) Lotfullah Hakim, a Jewish-origin Baha’i who was previously busy in the national assembly of the Iranian Baha’is went to Israel later on and was active in the central organization of Baha’is in the universal house of justice. He was continually sending the Baha’ism news and the materials published in the Israeli Magazines in order to strengthen the Baha’i spirits to translate and publish in the Baha’i magazines. For instance, on Mehr, 1332 S.H., after the American-British 28 of Mordad coup and downfall of Dr. Mosaddeq government, it is written in the official periodical of the Iranian Baha’is: “The Excellency Dr. Lotfullah from the holy land [of Israel] has written: These days, the newspapers are writing detailed articles regarding the Baha’i religion and the highest rank in Hebrow, Arabic and English languages. The building of the highest position [the grave attributed to Ali Muhammad Shirazi] has created strange excitement among people; so that, every day hundreds of excursionists and the people from Israel visit that holy place as pilgrims. I wish I could send you all newspapers and magazines. A detailed explanation with the photo of the highest rank has been published in the Jerusalem Post daily newspaper. I send it to the local and national spiritual holy assembly to translate and publish if it is advisable.[2]”
Then, the detailed article published in this Zionistic journal tendentiously dated October, 16, 1953 (Mehr, 24, 1332).”
3) The weekly journal of “the Jurasalem post” has published the elections of the first period of the members of the central personnels of the Baha’is of the world called the universal house of justice and the names of the elected ones and the news about their participation at London conference dated April, 26, 1963. The journal has also published the silence for the Israeli president’s death (Issac ibn Zari)[3] and their condolence message.[4]
4) The English newspaper “the Jerusalem post” has interpreted Hassan Baluzi (Moqer)’s book called “Abdul Baha” in two complete pages. It is interesting to be noted that the introduction of the book has been written by a Baha’i called Bahiyeh Adams. It is interesting that another article provided by a famous Israeli journalist about Baha’ism has been published with interesting photos. Several newspaper in Hebrow language published the issue briefly.[5]
With the excuse of various occasions, the Baha’is were holding different occasions. This issue caused the Israeli press to proselytize for Baha’ism. According to one of the Iranian Baha’is called Farideh Sobhani who had traveled to Israel to participate at this ceremony; “The various journals of Israel wrote in details about this historical day and the universal faith of Baha’ism including “the Jerusalem post”[6] newspaper published a detailed article… and “the Standard” newspaper started its comprehensive article entitled “the encouraging message…”. It is added in this report that for this occasion the Israeli terroristic organization held splendid celebrations several times in the most beautiful hotels of Heyfa such as: in another party, the Israeli artists sang the beautiful songs to the Baha’i friends’ honor.[7]”
All these examples are indicating the extensive coordinations between the Zionistic press for the Baha’ism proselytizing.
