The Excellency Baha has a sister called “Eziyeh Khanom” who has been Babi. She went to Iraq along with exiled Babis. She was led by his brother Sobhi Azal.

She was an aware woman and a capable author (All mirza Abbas Nouri’s offspring including Baha and Ezziyeh Khanom were educated and trained by their father who was the secretary of the court). She has written the events of the periods of time when they were in Iraq well and her book is an important document concerning that interval of time of Babism history. After differences between Azalis and Baha’is and their riots and fightings, they were expelled from Iraq. Abdul Baha writes a letter for his paternal aunt, Ezziyeh Khanom, (later on, it was called “aunt tablet” by the Baha’is) and invites her to accept Bahaullah’s faith. (This letter is published in the book Abdul Baha Makatib, vol. 2 in 14 pages)

After that the aunt writes an important epistle called “Tanbihunnaemin” [warning to the sleep] in 141 pages which is considered as one of important Babi documents and has been published by them. It reveals important historical facts happened at these periods of time and considered as individualistic historical documents for researchers in Babism and Baha’ism field.

She is frankly speaking about his brother’s ambition of position that his disciples and they were assassinating their opponents in the last three years of their stops in Baqdad. They created surprising horrors in all the city. (Also, Abdul Baha has mentioned these horrors in the book Makatib and called them earthquake) so that, even several Babis became hateful of their behaviors. (Tanbihunnaemin, Ezziyeh Khanom, p. 15)

The most interesting thing is that Abdul Baha doesn’t reject his paternal aunt’s speech about terrorism and Babis’ massacre in Iraq headed by his father; but he confirms it:

“It caused earthquake in Iraq pillars and the people of hypocrisy (he meant Babis who were in favor of Azal and opposed Bahaullah) were always horrible and frightened. His reverence penetrated into vessels and nerves that nobody dared to reprehend at midnight in Karbala and Najaf cities.”(Makatib, vol. 2, p. 177)

Yes, this is a faith which is claiming for the oneness of humane world, peace and kindness. It has started with assassination, terror, massacre, sedition and bloodshed!!
