False Messengers (part 1)

     Bahaismiran:

During the absence of Imam of the Time (May God hasten his reappearance), there were many people who claimed for being the deputy of Imam of the Time or being Imam of the Time himself.

Meantime, just Ali Muhammad Bab didn’t claim for being the deputy and then being Imam of the Time His movement was a new one. However, he was such a person whose movement was effective remarkably. Among Shiites, a group claimed for Babism and being the messengers who were as follows: 1. Abu Muhammad Shariee 2- Muhammad ibn Nasir Namiri 3- Hussein ibn Mansour Hallaj 4- Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn Ali Shalamghani and etc.

     Nevertheless, their claims were accompanied by the Colonialists' aims.

     The following Are the ones who claimed for being the gate for Imam of the Time or being the ambassador:

1)   Abu Muhammad Shariee. He was one of the 11th Imam's (P.H.) disciples. He was the first person who claimed for being the gate for Imam of the Time.

2)   Muhammad ibn Nasir Namiri. He was the founder of Nasiriyeh cult. He claimed for being the gate for Imam of the Time (P.H.) after Abu Muhammad Shariee. Imam of the Time (P.H.) damned him. At the time of his death, his tongue turned heavy.

3)   Hussein Mansour Hallaj, the famous learned person who was one of the claimants of being the gate for Imam of the Time(P.H.)

4)   Abu Ja'far, Muhammad ibn Al Shalamghani known as Ibn Abi Al-Az who was one of the claimants of being the gate for Imam of the Time(P.H.)

5)   Abubakr, Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Othman Bagdadi, Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn Othman ibn Saeed Omari's nephew

6)   Ahmad ibn Helal Karkhi (180-267 A.H.) who was one of the claimants of Babism . it is said about him that:"کان غالیا متهما فی دینه... وردفیه مذموم عن سیدنا المجاهد العسکری"

7)   Abu Delf Majnoun, Muhammad Mozaffarul Kateb Azdi, the author of the book "Akhbarushoara "who was of the Babism claimants.

8)   Abullah ibn Meymooun Al-Qadah claimed for being the special claimant of Imam of the Time (P.H.) in 251 A.H.

9)   Yahya ibn Zakrouyeh who claimed for being the deputy and the gate for Imam of the Time (P.H.) in 281 A.H.

10)                Muhammad ibn Sa'd, the poet from Koufeh city died in 540 A.H. who claimed for being the gate for Imam of the Time.

11)                Ahmad ibn Hussein Razi died in 670 A.H.

12)                Seyyed Sharafuddin Ibrahim, died in 663 A.H. who claimed for being the special deputy and the gate of Imam. Then, he claimed for Imamate. He went from Shiraz to Korasan. He resided in Khorasan for a while and when he returned from Shiraz city, he revealed his claim.

13)                Hussein ibn Ali Isfahani, the author died in 853 A.H., the author of the book "the man's politeness"

14)                Ali ibn Muhammad Sajestani Baqdadi, died in 866 A.H., the author of the book "Iqaz".

15)                Muhammad Nour Bakhsh, the chairman and the founder of Nourbakhshieh cult (795-896 A.H.); he claimed for the deputy and gate of Imam and the he claimed to be Imam of the time.

16)                Seyyed Muhammad Handi, died in 987 A.H.; he was a literary man and a poet. He lived in Mashhad city and claimed for Babism.

17)                Muhammad ibn Fallah Mosha'sha'a; the chairman of Mosha'sha'een of Khozestan who claimed for being the special deputy and gate of imam. Then, he claimed for being Imam himself. In 841 A.H., he revealed his invitation. He ruled in Khozestan for years. Then, he died in 870 A.H.

18)                Abbas Fatemi; He has lived late 7th century and claimed for being the special deputy and Imam himself. He had followers and founded a government. He faked possession of Fars city. Eventually, he was murdered and his government fell.

19)                Dervish Reza Qazvini: died in 1041 A.H. He claimed for Babism and exited during King Safawi's era. He was from Manlou tribe. He was a dervish. Then, he became chairman and leader.

20)                Sheikh Mahdi Mashhadi died in 1291 A.H. he is author of the book Al-Asrar wa Al-Malahem. He claimed for Babism

21)                Seyyed Ali Mashhadi Bazzaz. He lived during king Soloman Safawi's kingdom and claimed for Babism.

22)                Muhammad Fasi Maqrebi, died in 1095 A.H, the author of the book "Sabil-ul Oulia".

23)                Mirza Muhammad Herawi. He lived in India for a while. He changed and wrote Imam Ali's (P.H.) short words into poetry. He was living during Fathali shah Qajar era. When he claimed for being the gate of Imam of the Time, he was murdered.

24)                Muhammad ibn Abdullah Hessan Al-Mahdi. He visited Mecca as a pilgrim after learning the Islamic sciences. He returned Somal from Mecca. He was a reformist. He claimed for being the gate and then Imam himself in 1899 A.D. He is the founder of the cult Salehiyeh.

25)                Muhammad Ahmad ibn Abdullah Soudani (1843-1885 A.D.) from Seyyed Husseini descendants. He completed  religious sciences and then visited Mecca as a pilgrim. He claimed for being the gate of imam of the Time after coming back Mecca. All tribes such as Kordkhan, Darkhor, Bahrul Qazal and the Eastern Soudan swore allegiance with him. He fought with the English troops who had faked possession of Soudan. He  conquered Khartoum, the capital city of Soudan. He died in Omedarman.

26)                Ali Muhammad Bab known as Bab. He claimed for Babism from 1260 to 1266 A.H. He was captured following a set of changes and riots in Iran and was hanged. He is the founder of the cult "Babism". Then Hussein Ali Nouri called himself as the one whom God will manifest as Bab meant and founded Baha'ism… He introduced himself as "the forth pillar" or "Bab" influenced by Sjeikh Ahmad Ehsaee. Then, he claimed for divinity.
