Seyyed Ali Muhammad Shirazi was born in 1235 A.H. in Shiraz city. He missed his father when he was a child. His mother and maternal uncle took on his guardianship.
He was sent to Ghahveh Ouliya school which is called Baitul Abbas today. He learned there for years. Golpaygani has said he had studied there for 5 years.
The teacher who called Sheikh Muhammad Abed trained him Persian language and handwriting. Although Seyyed Ali Muhammad Bab wasn’t a talented student and he was sometimes punished, he has written in the book Bayan about this issue:
"قل ان یا محمد معلمی فلا تضربنی قبل ان یقضی علی خمسه سنه ولو بطرف عین فان قلبی رقیق و اذا اردت ضربا فلا تتجاوز عن الخمس و لاتضرب علی اللحم"
Sheikh Abed was one of the disciples and lovers of Sheikh Ahmad Ehsaee and Seyyed Kazem Rashti.
Seyyed Ali Muhammad headed off towards Boushehr city accompanied by his maternal uncle for business. He stayed there for five years.
He was going to the roof in the hottest hours of a day during summers in Boushehr city and utter God’s names under the hot sun. Nabil Zarandi, the Baha’i historian as written about him “ Most of the time, the Excellency Bob was busy trading in Sasan company, Boushehr city. Although it was really hot, he went to the roof four several hours and was gazing the sun at dawn and paid attention to it like a lover. He was caressing with the greatest luninery entity; as if he was making the greatest luminary entity intermediator … The ignorant people thought he was worshipping the sun and was praising and worshipping the greatest luminary entity[1].”
The Company was managed by David Sasan, one of the Jewish People from Baqdad city and the obvious agent of the British Emperor policies. This English Jewish company was serving in the field of planting and purchasing opium in the region to export to China.[2]
According to analyzing by several researchers, during this period of time, Ali Muhammad Bab had an intimate relationship with Sason Organization. [3]
When Ali Muhammad was 19 of age, he went to Karbala city to continue his education and participated at Seyyed Kazem Rashti’s classes[4]. In 1259 A.H., he returned to Shiraz city; but he was preventing to study and be aware of various thoughts. In 1259 A.H., Seyyed Kazem Rashti died.
