A glance at forming Babism and Baha'ism thoughts

The important issue which is worthy to be investigated is the role of Colonialisms of Russia and England in creating cults and creeds. England supported intriguing, educating and strengthening Ahmad Ehsaee who had created the forth pillar; but Russia supported and strengthened Seyyed Kazem Rashti in starting and emerging Imam of the Time. These supports created Babism Ali Muhammad had decided to announce he had been imam of the Time.

     Eventually, Ali Muhammad Bab started his claim in the presence of Mullah Hussein Boshrouyee who was one of the students of Kazem Rashti at the night of the lunar month of Jamadi-al-Oula, 5, 1260 A.H.

     According to historians, Mullah Hussein Boshrouyee has been one of those whose salary was being paid by the Russian embassy. He was by Ali Muhammad Shirazi. Through his struggles, 17 pupils of Seyyed Kazem Rashti paid attention to Ali Muhammad Bab and accepted him as the gate for Imam of the time. These 18 people including 17 pupils and Ali Muhammad himself were known as Hayy letters.[1]

     Those 18 people were responsible for preaching Bab affair. According to Babi and Baha'i texts, after his claim Bab got ready for Hajj in order to publicize his claim as being Mahdi. He ordered his disciples, 17 people, to be scattered everywhere and announce the gate for Imam of the Time has been appeared.[2] They succeeded a group of people to obey an innovation which was the continuation of deviations of Sheikh Ahmad Ehsaee and Seyyed Kazem Rashti.

     Fadhel Mazandarani, the Baha'i proselytizer who considers Ali Muhammad as the gate and the forth pillar and writes: Know that before Ali Muhammad two other gates had been appointed (Sheikh Ahmad Ehsaee and Rashti) in order to teach you his faith…[3]

     In addition to these people, Ali Muhammad himself introduced himself as the forth pillar and says writing a letter to Muhammad Shah Qajar: I call God to witness that the unity and prophethood of His believed and His messenger's caliphs' guardian can't be appeared unless by the existence of the forth pillar who is a ray from the three previous mirrors[4]; that is I am Ali Muhammad and the same forth pillar.

     As observed in Ali Muhammad Bab's speech and others' ones, Ali Muhammad's claim is influenced by his two masters' one; that is Sheikh Ahmad Ehsaee and Seyyed Kazem Rashti and posing the forth pillar. Even Ali Muhammad Bab introduces himself as the gate for recognizing God or the very forth pillar.[5]

     Nowadays, Sheikhis are trying to reject the relationships between Ali Muhammad Sheikism. These struggles are vain because undoubtedly the today Sheikis are of the branches of Sheikism of Sheikh Ahmad Ehsaee and Seyyed Kazem Rashti. Everybody knows Seyyed Kazem Rashti was elected as the successor of Sheikh Ahmad Ehsaee based on his will and also knows forth pillar issue was of discussions in Seyyed Kazem Rashti's classes and Ali Muhammad Bab has participated in his class. Seyyed Kazem also didn’t appoint any successor after himself and continually was saying: The emergence of the absent Imam in near. No successor is needed. So, he died and it didn’t become clear who the forth pillar and Sheiki guardian is[6].

     It becomes obvious by studying history that two Colonial countries have planned to create, support and strengthen Babism and Sheikism cults. At last, Hussein Ali Nouri was treacherous with the Russians and sought asylum to England. Then, he turned against England and turned to America to be supported.[7]
