Bahaullah says: “The divine leaders’ science is originated from His science and their power, kingdom, beauty and emergence is too. They are the treasures of the divine sciences, profits and wisdoms.[1]”
While, the Baha’ism leaders’ texts are full of clear literary and content mistakes; so that Baha’ism heads had to correct them: “The handwritten copies related to 1280 and the following years were investigated and there were some differences between the current copies and the previous ones and just some Arabic statements should be corrected.[2]”
So, in his article called the critical investigation of the Baha’i texts in the 20th century, Vance Salisbury has pointed out some deviations and written about the censorship of Abdul Baha’s prediction concerning the fulfillment of the general peace and the establishment of the Baha’i kingdom in 1957 A.D. by the Baha’ism organization:
“Maybe, the most important change in the book “Bahaullah and the new era has been happened on page 212, 1923 A.D. This part has been mentioned as the Baha’ism prediction about the divine kingdom. In this part, Esslement narrates the two last verses of the book Daniel in the Bible. Abdul Baha claims that 1335 days mentioned by Daniel means 1335 years of solar calendar since the departure of Muhammad to Medina in 622 A.D., 1957 A.D. When he was asked: “What should we wait for at the end of these 1330 days?” He answered: “The general peace will be established. An international language will be expanded. Misunderstanding will be removed. The Baha’i faith will be preached. The humane world oneness will be established and it will be a splendid period.”
The publication published after Esslement’s death, his statements were deviated as follows: “The time for the fulfillment of Daniel prophethood was counted since Islamic Hegira” Then one of Abdul Baha’s tablets is discovered to be said: “لان بذلک التاریخ ینقضی قرن من طلوع شمس الحقیقه” That is, “Because one century will pass since the beginning of the truth sun based on that date.” … Esslement has written that Abdul Baha has clearly said the prediction must be considered from the beginning of Hegira or 622 A.D. and special conditions will be fulfilled in 1957. When it was discovered that the Baha’i prediction won’t be fulfilled, this statement or vague ones were replaced by the present time.[3]”
