     Bahaismiran:

The Baha’ism leaders introduced the necessity for adjusting livelihood as his innovative teaching; while the religion of Islam has mentioned this issue many times before Baha’ism and has offered strategies for its fulfillment. On the other side, Baha’ism has taken an important step in the opposite direction of achieving this goal by prescribing usury and announcing war against the Almighty God!

Regarding the above-mentioned topic the Baha’i proselytizer is stating: One of the teachings of our leaders which in conformity with the spirit of this era is the teaching of adjusting livelihood. As Abdul Baha has said: “It is not allowable for some to live in extreme wealth; but some live in extreme poverty. It should be reformed and a law must be made for all to be extended and to be in well-being[1].

This issue is pleasant and understandable in all religions and cults to this part of the issue. However, that the Baha’ism strategy for referring to usury and preaching it in the society is worthy to be thought[2]. Usury will make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

The Baha’is believe that many people need giving and receiving usury and according to Bahaullah: “Most people are in need of usury; otherwise affairs will be suspended; so we made usury as allowable among people.[3] Contrary to Baha’ism, Islam has ordered according to the holy Quran:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَذَرُوا مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ الرِّبَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ (بقره/ 279-278)

“O’ ye who believe! Observe your duty to Allah, and give up what remaineth (due to you) from usury, if ye are (in truth) believers. And if ye do not, then be warned of war (against you) from Allah and His messenger. And if ye repent, then ye have your principal (without interest). Wrong not, and ye shall not be wronged. (Al-Baqareh/ 278-279)
