In the book Ishraqat, p. 7, Hussein Ali Nouri writes about Ali Muhammad Shirazi: “He was from Sunnis and sometimes he claimed from being Imam of the Time. Nearly one hundred thousand people were obeying him and rose to serve him. The real riser rose in Iran by the divine light. They made him martyr and tried to extinguish his light.”
Ishraqat by Mirza Hussein Ali Nouri, pp. 7 & 8
By the word “a person from Sunnis” Hussein Ali Nouri meant Gholam Ahmad Qadiyani who was born in 1213 S.H. in Qadiyan village, Panjab, India. He started his invitation after the execution of Ali Muhammad Bab in 1229 S.H. when he was 40 and claimed to be commissioned by God to take people’s allegiance. He also called himself as Jesus Christ, the promised Mahdi and Krishna and the naïve people accepted his invitation.
Gholam Ahmad Qadiyani who revoluted in 1253 S.H. in India and claimed for being inspired by God was sworn allegiance by one hundred thousand people. According to Mirza Hussein Ali Nouri, Qolam Ahmad wasn’t the real Imam of the Time; but Ali Muhammad Shirazi was Imam of the Time who revoluted in Shiraz city and claimed for Babism. However, the then government hanged him in Tabriz city.

Consequently, Mirza Hussein Ali Nouri considers Ali Muhammad Shirazi as the real Imam of the Time who wasn’t so successful in his emergence and died. However, his son Abdul Baha doesn’t consider Ali Muhammad Shirazi as the gate and as the promised Mahdi; but he assumes Ali Muhammad Shirazi as one of the determined prophets.
Abdul Baha writes in the book Mofavezat, p. 116 in this regard: “All the prophets are divided into two groups. A group is dependent and a part is independent. The independent prophets are the disciples of the religious law such as the Excellency Ibrahim, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad and the Excellency the highest (Ali Muhammad Shirazi) and the Blessed beauty (Hussein Ali Baha).”
Mofavezat by Abdul Baha, p. 116
In this book, p. 151, Abdul Baha also writes: “All the prophets of the offspring of Israel were from Ibrahim descendants… the Excellency Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, the highest, Ali Muhammad Baba all prophets of the offspring of Israel are from that essence

Also, he considers Ali Muhammad Shirazi as the determined prophet on page 36 of this book: “He is the holy of the holiest who is the essence of the religious law of the Excellency Adam, Noah, Ibrahim, Moses and Muhammad, the highest (Ali Muhammad Shirazi and the Blessed Beauty (Hussein Ali Nouri).
The book Mofavezat by Abdul Baha, p. 36
You see how Abdul Baha insists to introduce the claimant of Babism as one of the determined prophets contrary to his father’s view; while there are different views about Ali Muhammad Shirazi in this cult because Ali Muhammad Shirazi aimed for Babism in the presence of Mulla Hussein Boshrouyee in Shiraz city on Khordad, 2, 1223 S.H.
Ali Muhammad Shirazi claimed for being Imam of the Time debating with the scholars of Tabriz city on Farvardin, 21, 1227 S.H. He claimed for being the prophethood and divinity at the end of his lifetime. The Baha’is don’t know whether Abdul Baha was right or Hussein Ali Nouri or none of them?
