The followers of the deviant cult claim for the Baha’ism creed as the first one to issue the commandment of the equality between men and women as their honor document. As our guardian Shoqi Effendi has said: “The Baha’is around the world has the opportunity to show their nearby world that they have approached a new method for the relationships between couples. Invasion and using force has been eliminated and instead cooperation and consulting have been replaced.[1]”
The answer to this claim is so simple.1) The Baha’ism leaders have copied the slogan of the equality between men and women from another schools[2]. 2) Violating this slogan repeatedly, the Baha’i leaders have proved it to be vain. For instance, contrary to the slogan of the equality between men and women, men are oblidged to pay women’s dowry[3]! It is superficially defending women’s right but:
a) This verdict is contradictory with the slogan of the equality between men and women because if there were the equality, no one would pay the dowry.
b) Why the Baha’i man can retake the dowry if after marriage it appears that the girl isn’t virgin: “If after paying dowry, the man figures out that the woman isn’t virgin, the man can retake the dowry.[4]”
Is the Baha’ism which us claiming for the equality between men and women is able to do such a measure?! Practically, no. because there isn’t any dowry to be gotten back and the universal house of justice hasn’t allowed the divorce: “If a woman figures out that her husband hasn’t been virgin, the marriage can be abolished. So, this condition must be mentioned in the marriage certificate in order for the woman to be able to use such a right.[5]”
