The racketeers of the Pahlavi period of time
Bahaismiran:
One of the press bands whose second profession was racket was “Hussein Sarfarazi(1)â€, Sattar Leqaee(2) (the member of the deviant cult of Baha’ism), Abbas Pahlavan(3) and … .
By the help of their correspondents, these people reflected even the shortest news related to the junior politicians, singers, dancers, artists and other theater or television celebrities negatively and extensively and changed the private phenomena into a press challenge. Eventually, they ended the challenge by taking bribe: receiving money, present, gold and having sexual affairs.
Their method was that they threatened the person to publish the documents which had been gathered against him/her by telephone or in his/her presence. They received a large amount of money and prevented publishing the news. Nevertheless, if the artist, singer or dancer didn’t pay tribute, they would reflect their private relationships or areas of weakness by selecting so-called hot headlines.
For instance, the leaflet Rastakhiz youth wrote publishing some photos of artists: “the society opium†and started confessing about them. The extensive sedition of these readers and actors caused them to keep in touch to resolve the issue in the private parties and to change enmity to friendship by means of some people such as “Shahin Hannaneh†who was in touch with “Hussein Sarfarazâ€.
Of course, some people who had a rigid relationship with the Pahlavi regime prevented paying tribute.
SAVAK’s writings in the criticizing leaflet:
As said before, one of the earnest features of the Pahlavi regime was the throbbing government and the censorship of the press, radio and television. Anyway, during this period of time, we encounter some disagreeing leaflet which criticized several issues.
Now, the question is that how would the materials be published if SAVAK agents have supervised a magazine from the beginning of its publication to the end of it and even the original copy sent to SAVAK before publishing to be audited. The answer to this question can be continually observed in SAVAK documents.
There are many documents, reports and letters which show that many of these criticizing notes and articles were being published in apparently opposing leaflets directly by consulting with SAVAK.
