Bahaismiran:

To start writing this article, it is necessary for Tolstoy to be introduced.

Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy (Sep 9, 1828- Nov 20, 1910) was a social-political activist and the Russian author. Tolstoy is known as the greatest novelist in the world[1]. He was repeatedly nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature and the Noble Peace Prize but never won them.

The novels called “war and peace” and “Anna Carnina” were written by him. They are considered as of the nest novels in the world. He has numerous fan in Russia and a commemorative gold coin has been struck in his honor. During his lifetime, he has lived famously but simply.

In order to preach their creed the Baha’i proselytizers have claimed for praising Baha’ism by Tolstoy; while the written Baha’i sources have confessed their failure in attracting this famous author

In an article published by the Baha’ism organization on the occasion of commemorating the self-proclaimed prophet of Baha’ism, the Baha’ism organization spoke about Hussein Ali Baha’s teachings and praised some known characters related to the Baha’ism cult. As it is written narrated by Tolstoy (the famous Russian author died 1910 A.D.).

“The Baha’i creed has a really deep philosophy that the current generation can’t figure it out… The Baha’i teachings have been created based on the expediencies of this era and are the spirit of this era, too... The Baha’s teachings and laws must be preached across the world and the real unity must be preached because it is the basis of this religion.[2]

The notes:

1)   The Baha’is organization hasn’t presented any document for Tolstoy’s willingness to its cult and has just claimed; while contrary to the Baha’i proselytizers’ claim, the written resources of this cult have confessed that the Baha’ism struggle to attract Tolstoy to Baha’ism has remind fruitless and according to Dr. Habib Moa’yyed he eventually became depressed.[3]

2)   Let us assume that Tolstoy was influenced by Baha’ism for a while due to the Baha’is proselytizing and writing letters and turn a bit to Baha’ism. However; due to the contradictions in Baha’ism word and action, he turned against it.

3)   Baha’ism is going to perk its creed having new thoughts; while having copied teachings and supported by the Colonialism[4], Baha’ism hasn’t been able to progress yet.

4)   Narrated by Tolstoy, the Baha’i proselytizers has considered preaching unity by the Baha’i leaders’ teaching as the reason for the necessity for preaching the Baha’i laws; while the Baha’i leaders haven’t been even able to create unity among their families.

Consequently, supposing a religion to be right and real, it won’t be needed for the names of dignitaries to be used for showing its greatness.
