     Bahaismiran:

Q: Are Baha’is allowed to be educated at non-Baha’i schools?!

Contrary to the slogan of the necessity for the equal education for all human beings, the Baha’i leaders have prevented the Baha’i offspring to be educated at non-Baha’i schools. However, it is interesting to be known that Shoqi Effendi has educated in the best non-Baha’i schools contrary to this slogan. Now, the contradiction is that: where is the unity of the humane world and justice in this commandment?! The Baha’i leaders believe that the people in the world must be educated equality; as Abdul Baha has said: “The oneness of the principles and regulations of education is the most essential affair in order for all human beings to be educated equally. That is, education must be equal in all schools of the world. The principles and customs must be the same in order for the oneness of the human world to be in the hearts since childhood.[1]

Thus, why have the Baha’ism leaders prevented the Baha’i kids to be sent to non-Baha’i schools?! As Abdul Baha has said: “It isn’t allowable for the Baha’i disciples to be sent to other schools.”

Definitely, the answer for this question is that the Excellency Abdul Baha’s measure has been exerted to preserve the Baha’i kids out of the doubts of the followers of other religions.

Now, the question is that: What are the effects of doubts on the Baha’i kids? Basically, a faith which is claiming for the universality shouldn’t be afraid of doubts.

Anyway, contrary to their demagogical slogans, the Baha’i leaders have excluded the Baha’i offspring out of others; but it is interesting for you to know that Abdul Baha who has prevented the Baha’i offspring to be sent to the non-Baha’i schools and introduced going to these schools as death, has sent his son, Shoqi Effendi to the best non-Baha’i schools; as Rouhiyeh Maxwell has said: “Although Shoqi was going to the best school in Heyfa; but he was extremely upset for this school to belong to the Christians… When the Excellency Abdul Baha figured out that he wasn’t happy with that school, he decided to send Shoqi Effendi to Beirut. He entered into a catholic boarding-school… The Excellency Abdul Baha provided facilities for Shoqi Effendi to be educated at the American collage of Beirut.[2]

Anyway, how is it possible for the Baha’ism leader and pattern to educate at non-Baha’i school while the Baha’is can’t?! Why aren’t the Baha’i leaders bound to their forged commandments?!
