Seyyed Ali Muhammad Shirazi the founder of the deviant cult of Babism was born in Shiraz city in lunar month of Moharram, 1235 A.H. His father was Reza and mother was Fatemeh Beygom or Khadijeh Beygom. He starting reading and writing as usual in Shiraz city. He was just a kid when her missed his father. For this reason, he went to Boshehr port guaranteed by his maternal uncle. When he got mature, he got busy doing business along with his maternal uncle in Sason company whose share and ownership belonged to a Jewish capitalist from Baqdad city who were doing business of opium in Boshehr port and Bombay India.
Pay attention to the fact that Ali Muhammad had had his first social intercourses with the Jewish beliefs in addition to working hard as opium rubbing.
The Babism claimant; that is the very Seyyed Ali Muhammad was taken over the hurden of opium rubbing. He was responsible for pouring raw opium which was in the form of liquid keeping in big jar and vat on a special board and draw up and down for hours using a special metal spatula to change it into hard and condensed bullets every day for more than ten hours under the blizzing sun in Boushehr port on the roof of a caravanserai which was used as storage for keeping and saving opium belonged to Jewish Sason company. Then, he change it into 20-gram stick rolls to send to Sason commercial firm in Bambay, India to be distributed in the path of the Colonial policies of England in the southeast region, Asia; especially in China nearly free of charge. The famous Namazi family in Shiraz was famous for distributing such kinds of opium in China region. Their abundant wealth was due to this business.
Most experts believe that working at least 10 hours under the blazing sun in Boshehr port caused Ali Muhammad Shirazi’s mind to be damaged and made him afflicted by melancholia –he claimed for faking possession of the moon and stars. This note has been stated in Prince Kiniaz Dalgorki’s memoirs[1]- the ambassador of Russia in Iran.
Seyyed Ali Muhammad Shirazi’s familiarity with the Jewish family and the capitalist Sason[2] influenced him so much and made him become familiar with the important Jewish centers. According to some beliefs by the historians, the main bases of his claims about being the gate for Imam of the time –or based on Sheikism cult belief- and his claim for being the forth pillar were being formed since those days and in relationship with these centers.
Seyyed Ali Muhammad Shirazi (Bab) who has passed his school and elementary educations in Boushehr city supervised by a teacher called Sheikh Abed who possessed bigoted beliefs of Sheikhism and was of Sheikh Ahmad Ehsaee’s students travelled to Karbala to complete his knowledge and to be in Seyyed Kazem Rashti’s classes –Sheikh Ahmad Ehsaee’s successor
Babis and Baha’is consider Seyyed Ali Muhammad Shirazi as the owner of the divine science and say:
“When Seyyed Bab entered into Seyyed Kazem Rashti’s class, Seyyed Kazem stopped his class due to respect him although Bab was a 24-year-old young man and Seyyed Rashti was a 50 man. The students paid attention to him and surprised. They spoke about the emergence of the promised one. Seyyed Kazem Rashti wanted to make students understand that the Excellency Bab is the promised Mahdi…[3]”
Seyyed Kazem Rashti died in 1259 A.H. and didn’t elect any of his students as his successor. Several days before his death he announced among his disciples that the Excellency Imam of the time or according to Sheikism follower “the forth pillar” will be emerged and will control the Muslim affairs and will lead the world towards Justice.
When Seyyed Kazem Rashti died, Ali Muhammad Shirazi was in Boushehr and was busy providing opium along with his maternal uncle serving The Jewish businessmen specially Sason commercial office. At that time, it was more than five years that Ali Muhammad Shirazi had a direct social intercourses with the Jewish and Sason trading office. The claim for Seyyed Ali Muhammad Shirazi to be encouraged for Seyyed Kazem Rashti’s succession and the gate for Imam of the time is probable.
