     Bahaismiran:

On Jamdiul Oula, 1264 A.H., Mirza Aghasi, the then chancellor (king Muhammad Qajar’s era, ordered for Seyyed Ali Muhammad Bab to be transferred from Makou to Chehriq[1] to be available for the disciples less and for Babism to be forgotten. This action caused the Babis to be furious. Thus, several event happened in Badasht.

Badasht is the name of a beautiful plain near Shahroud city. Babis who had observed Ali Muhammad Shirazi to be captured and imprisoned held an assembly in this plain intrigued by Tahereh Qazvini, hosted by Mirza Hussein Ali Nouri and directed by Mirza Ali Barforoush. It was a turning point in Baha’ism history.

Who was Tahereh Qazvini?

In the beginning of forming Babism movement in Qazvin, a person called Mullah Muhammad Taqi Qazvini who would be known as the third Martyr later on was responsible for people religious affairs and was considered as the great scholars of that locality.[2] He had two brothers called Mullah Saleh and Mullah Muhammad Baraqani who defended Sheikism. Mullah Saleh possessed a beautiful daughter called Zarrin Taj was known as Qorratul Ein[3]. She had learned sciences and techniques in her father’s house and was also eloquent. Zarrin Tag had gotten married with her cousin (The Third Martyr’s son); but she was one of the disciples of Sheikh Ahmad Ehsaee and Seyyed Kazem Rashti influenced by her uncle’s proselytizing. So, she quitted her husband and offspring and went to holy Shrines in order to participate at Seyyed Kazem Rashti’s classes. She stayed them by the time Seyyed Kazem Rahsti died. She held a class after he passed away and taught Sheikism beliefs and her special view.

Zarrin TAj and her disciples turned to Ali Muhammad Shirazi when they listen to Babism call. After several years, they came back to Iran and went to Qazvin city.[4]

The aims for establishing Babism

The reason for the Babis to get together in Badasht was to free Bab from Makou castle; but the main phenomenon of Badasht adventure was planning for excommunication of Islam religious law which was done without Bab’s awareness. The least outcome of it was that Qorratul Ein exposed herself without cover and dressed up and said to addressees: This is a good opportunity to celebrate. Today is feast and general celebration. Stand up and hug each other.[5]

That historical day changed the addressees dramatically. It was an exciting day some people accompanied and some thought it as polytheism and said: The Islamic commandment would never be abolished. Some said obeying the Excellency Tahireh is necessary.[6]

Mullah Hussein Boshrouyee blazed. One of the Babis called Abdul Khaleq Isfahani cut his throat to express his opposition. Shoqi Effendi, the guardian of the Baha’i faith writes:

“The addressees were astonished… Everybody was afraid of the event and couldn’t speak to such an extent that Abdul Khaleq Isfahani cut his thoat himself anxiously.

Some left the assembly and quitted the faith…[7]

Badasht notes

Muhammad Ali Barforoush was entitled as Qoddous, Qorratul Ein as Tahireh and Mirza Hussein Ali Nouri as Bahaullah.[8]

All expenses of Badasht event was spent by Hussein Ali Nouri. 80 people were present at Badasht plain for nine days.

Roistering by the Babi heads was one of the other notes of Badasht event.

15th of Sha’ban, the Babi heads decided to leave Badasht towards Mazandaran. It is interesting to be noted that Mirza Ali Barforoush and Tahireh Qazvini were in the same pannier. Who the people of Badasht arrived at Niyala village, they blazed watching Tahireh and Qoddous to be in the same pannier saying poems with a loud voice and attacked them. So, the people of Badasht dispersed and the Babi heads escaped.[9]

The author of the book Persian Mataleul Anwar writes: Some followers observed that uncovered herself and concluded that she was busy sinning…[10]

Anyway, after Badasht event, Seyyed Bab decided to claim for being Imam of the Time (P.H.)…

Mirza Hussein Ali Nouri went to Taker village, Nour city, Mazandaran along with Tahireh.[11]
