In this regard, it is necessary for the following traditions and narrations to be paid attention:

Abi-Jaroud said:

"قال ابوجعفر(ع): انّ القائم يملک ثلا ثمائة و تسع سنين، کما لبث اهل الکهف في کهفهم، يملاء الارض عدلاً و قسطاً کما ملئت ظلماً و جوراً و يفتح الله له شرق الارض و غربها و يقتل الناس حتّي لا يبقي الّا دين محمد (ص)يسير بسيرة سليمان بن داود. (بحارالانوار- ج52- باب يوم خروجه و ما يحدث عنده- ص291)

It is narrated by Abi-Jaroud who said: The Excellency Imam Baqer (peace be upon him): Surely, the Excellency Imam of the Time rules for 309 years as the sleepers of Ephesus slept 309 years in the cave. He will fill the earth with Justice as filled with tyranny. God will open the east and west of the earth for him. He will kill people in order for just Muhammad’s (P.H.) creed survives and his method is Solomon ibn David’s (P.H.).

Muhammad ibn Moslem says:

الصفار، عن ابن ابي الخطاب عن جعفر بن بشير و محمد بن عبدالله بن هلال، عن  محمد قال: سألت اباجعفر(عليه السلام)عن القائم اذا قام بأي سيرة يسير في الناس؟ فقال: بسيرة ما سار به رسول الله (ص) حتي يظهر الاسلام، قلت: و ما كانت سيرة رسول الله(صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم)؟ قال: ابطل ما كان في الجاهلية، واستقبل الناس بالعدل و كذلك القائم(ع) اذا قام يبطل ما كان في الهدنة مما كان في ايدي الناس و يستقبل بهم العدل.

(بحارالانوار- ج52- باب  سيره و اخلاقه و خصائص زمانه - ص381)

Tradition is from Muhammad ibn Moslem who says: I asked Abi Ja’far (peace be upon him) when Imam of the Time (peace be upon him) rises, how does he behave with people? He stated: He behaves as the messenger of Allah behaves in order to appear Islam. I said: What was the messenger of Allah’s character? He stated: He destroy what existed in the pagan state of the Arabs before the holy prophet (P.H.). He confronted people with justice. Imam of the Time behaves so. He will destroy non-divine governments and will confront people with justice.

3) Another tradition is existent:

"... وإن الثاني عشر من ولدي يغيب حتى لا يرى ، ويأتي على أمتي زمن لا يبقى من الإسلام إلا اسمه ولا من القرآن إلا رسمه ، فحينئذ يأذن الله له بالخروج فيظهر الإسلام ويجدد الدين ..."(بحار الانوار- ج36- الباب 41 - صفحات 284 و 285)

A time will be emerged for my nation that nothing will be left by the holy Quran but a lines and by Islam but a name. At this time, God will let the Excellency Mahdi (May Allah hasten his reappearance) to be emerged. He will revitalize Islam.
