Bahaismiran:

One of the most important notes criticizing the function of Hojjatieh association is ignoring to campaign and dong secondary issues. Useless campaigns which didn’t damage Shah seriously. Fighting against Baha'ism before the Islamic revolution and campaigning against the slight manifestations of the   western civilization preached by the king were of the examples. For instance, combatting against Pepsi Cola was one of the activities of Hojjatieh Association. Pepsi Cola was deprecated and boycotted and some of the then scholars had announced drinking it as illegitimate. The Association has gathered its forces to forbid the shopkeeper to sell the drink because the owner of Pepsi company was a Baha'i called "Sabet Pasal". However, they relinquished the king as the main supporter of Baha'ism and were doing important issues.[1]

Martyr Hashemi Nejad says criticizing the method of Hojjatieh Association: "Baha'ism possessed three dimensions: Economic, political and intellectual ones. The people of Hojjatieh Association weren’t allowed to campaign because they were prevented strictly by the regime… Could they speak about Baha'ism companies? At all. It was prohibited by the regime and the sirs didn’t conflict with the regime based on their views. They thought they had to walk slowly so that the cat didn’t blow its horn. So, they didn’t campaign against the regime economically. The political dimension was too. How did they campaign? Just in intellectual dimension.[2]"

Even during the uprising of 15th of Khordad, 1342 in which thousands of Muslims were killed by the king regime Hojjatieh Association criticized the Excellency Imam Khomeini (P.H.)[3]

Consequently, SAVAK overlooked Association's activities and prevented them. It was trying to confine Association activities by definite pressures in order not to let its supporters to campaign against the regime seriously[4]. On the other side, Shah let the Association to be active to be able to repress Baha'ism whenever he liked.[5] It can be said that although the Association's aims were good superficially; but it was acting like figurehead for the regime to achieve its aims.
