Because the Excellency Abdul Baha was seeking for affections among hearts, he was sinking in the affection sea of such an extent that he was writing beautiful sentences in his books: “Treat with untrue people like the loyal kindly. Be kind with the bloodthirsty wolves like gazelles. Shelter the traitors and make the anxious relaxed.” (Makatib, Vol.3, p. 160)
Nevertheless, after a while when he realized that these statements are irrational, he rejected his previous statements and said:
“It is impossible to be kind with thieves and traitors because treating kindly with him/her will cause him/her to overflow and he/she won’t be punished.” (Makatib, Vol.3, p.211). And he has also said: “If you are kind with a wolf, you will tyrannize sheep, so, being affectionate with the rapacious animal is tyrannizing against the oppressed ones.” (Makatib, Vol. 2, p. 212)
Glancing at the Baha’i leaders, we will figure out that the mistakes and contradictions existing in the texts will lead us to this note that texts are from defective and flawed human beings.
According to the holy Quran:
اَفَلا یَتَدَبَّروُنَ القُرآنَ وَ لَوْ کانَ مِنْ عِنْدِاللهِ لَوَجَدُوا فِیهِ اخْتِلافاً کثیراً
Will they not then ponder on the Quran? If it had been from other than Allah, they would have found there in much incongruity. (Nisa/82)
