"و زعمت الشیعه عثمان بل ابوبکر و عمر ایضاً حرّفوه و اسقطو کثیراً من آیاته و سوره... فالقرآن الّی بایدی المسلمین الیوم شرفاً و غرباً وَ هو نکره الاسلام و دائره الاحکام مرکزاً و قطباً اشدّ تحریفاً عند هـؤلاءِ من التوراه و الانجیل و اضعف تالیفاً منهما و اجمع للاباطیل و انت تعلم اهذا القول اوهن من بیت العنکبوت و انه لاوهن البیوت و لا اراک فی مربة من حماقة مدّعیة و سفاهة مفتریه وَ لمّا تفظّن بعض علمائهم لما به جعله قولاً لبعض اصحابه"(تفسیر روح المعانی- ج 1- صفحات 22و 23)

“Shiite people have illuted that Othman but Omar and Abubakr have deviated the holy Quran and most of its chapters and verses. (He continued : ) According to Shiite people the holy Quran has been deviated more than the new and old Testament and you know that the Shiite idea is weaker than spider’s house. Indeed, the frailest of all houses is the spider’s house. Additionally, you know that the claimant of this statement is stupid and you don’t doubt. When some Shiite scholar got aware of the Shiite statement (deviation of the holy Quran), they said (defending themselves): This statement has been said by some scholars not by all Shiites.

 You observe that they are attacking Shiism extremely and are accusing to such an extent that they say Shiism believes that they holy Quran has been deviated more than the new Testament and old Testament!!!

Of course, we are not going to discuss about deviation of the holy Quran. We are going to show Alousi’s enmity with Shiism.

Tahereh Qorratul Ein was in touch with Alousi for a while. According to the author of this article, it isn’t unlikely that most doubts of Imamate have been infused by Alousi to Tahireh Qorratul Ein. The issue of Qorratul Ein’s relationship with Alousi has been stated in the Baha’i books. For instance:

1)   It is said in the book Kashful Fadhazael:

“The governor-general of Iraq ruled and judged that the Excellency Tahireh moved from Sheik Muhammad Shebl to settle on Seyyed Mahmoud Alousi’s house,  mufti of Baqdad and the author of the book the great interpretation “Rouhul Ma’ani in 14 volumes… For this reason, Qorratul Ein moved towards Alousi’s house along with the mentioned women and settled there for nearly two months. This is Alousi witness… (This is the translation of some of his statements :)

Her title was Qorratul Ein who was entitle by Seyyed Kazem Rashti in letters because she was one of his disciples and she was obeying Rashti after his death… she was so learned that I had seen like her among men. She was wise and patient… (the author of the book Kashful Qita’a mentions: ) one of the residents of Baqdad whose father was present at most Qorratul Ein’s assemblies narrated… Once, I was present and listened to them. Alousi was saying reverently:

( یا قرة العین تالله انی علی مذهبک و لکنی اخاف سیوف آل عثمان)

(Kashful Qita’a- pp. 94- 96)

2)   Nosratullah Muhammad Husseini has written in the book” the Excellency Bab” :

“Sheik Mahmoud ibn Abdullah Al-Alousi (1803- 1854) the author of the great book “Rouhul Ma’ani is the most notable Sunnite scholar and jurisconsult living in Iraq in 19^th century. He was the mufti of Baqdad for 14 years (1832- 1846). In the book “Kashful Qita’a compiled by the Excellency Abulfadhael (page 96) narrated by one of the servants of Alusi’s house the above-mentioned agreement with Tahireh’s ideas has been mentioned”

These documents indicate that Mr. Alousi has been Tahireh Qorratul Ein’s devoted disciple and has supported her!
