So, in his article called the critical analysis of the Baha’i texts in 20th century, Vance Salisbury has mentioned some of these alterations regarding the date for Abdul Baha’s prediction of the fulfillment of the universal peace and the establishment of the Baha’i kingdom in 1975 A.D. by the Baha’ism organization and has written:
“Maybe, the most important change in the book “Bahaullah and the era” has been occurred on page 212, edited in 1923 A.D. This part is about Abdul Baha’s prediction concerning the arrival of the divine kingdom. In this part, Esslement narrates Abdul Baha’s interpretation regarding two last verses of Daniel book in the Bible. Abdul Baha claims for 1335 days mentioned by Daniel in 1335 solar years since the departure of Muhammad to Medina in 622 A.D. which equals 1957 A.D. When he was asked: “What should we be waited for at the end of 1335 days? He answered: “The universal peace will be quite fulfilled. An international language will be developed Misunderstanding will be removed. The Baha’i faith will be expanded everywhere. The oneness of human world will be set up. It will be a splendid course!? In the books published after Esslement’s death, his speech was diverted so: The time for the fulfillment of Daniel prophethood was counted since the beginning of Islamic Hijrat year. The one of Abdul Baha’s tablets is being mentioned that he has said:
"لان بذلک التاریخ ینقضی قرن من طلوع شمس الحقیقه"
“Because based on that date one century will pass since the truth sun rise.”
When it became obvious that this Baha’i prediction isn’t being fulfilled this phrase or vague ones were replaced.[3]
