Consequently, according to the claims by the dignitaries of the faith, the twelve principles can be considered as the introducing letter of Baha’ism; since, they consider them as the innovations of their faith. They try to proselytize more by making people know them as distinct criterion between Baha’ism and other religions. The Excellency Abdul Baha says: “One the teachings is the unity of the humane world. Where can you find this teaching? Show us. And the other is the public peace. Where can you find this teaching? And religion must cause affection. And religion must be in accordance with the in fact intelligence and science. In which book you can find these teachings? Is there the equality of men and women in other books? Can you find the teaching of quitting religious bigotry and the political, sexual ones in other books? [Great Sermons, p. 191]
In order to investigate this issue that these teachings are new or not it isn’t necessary to investigate the other religions one by one because the Excellency Abbas Effendi has clarified it for us easily: “The basis founded by all prophets is Bahaullah’s one. That basis is the unity of the humane world the basis is the public affection and the public peace among peoples.” [The Sermons(2), p. 286] or: “The Excellency Bahaullah renovated the prophets’ teachings.” [Sermons 1, pp. 18 and 19].
How can the Baha’i leaders let themselves consider the previous prophets’ teachings as their innovations to proselytize? Doesn’t Baha’ism have any new word to say since it has renewed the previous prophets’ teachings? Basically, why are these too many contradictions in the Baha’i leaders’ statements?
