Because Ali Muhammad Bab had claimed based on the religion of Islam, he was violent against the opponents of Islam and ordered them to be murdered. However, in his book called the Bayan, he has called his opponents as atheists (even the Muslims) and ordered them to be killed and to be dismissed from Iran and Iraq.

Abdul Baha says in the book "Makatib", vol. 3, p. 104: "One of the teachings of Bahaullah is religious prejudice, sexual prejudice, political prejudice; economic prejudice and homespun prejudice. If this prejudice and hostility is from religion, religion must cause friendship; otherwise it will be vain… So; according these new teachings, it will be necessary: 1- people mustn't be interested in what have selected or mustn't disagree with false and opposed religions 2- people mustn't be intensely interested in the homeland they live, 3- A nation mustn't be bond with a definite policy.
